BRG acquires Tiger Software, Inc. of Fullerton, CA.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA – June, 2007 - Biomechanics Research Group Inc. (BRG), the leading global provider of biomechanics simulation tools and services, today announced that it has acquired via merger Tiger Software, Inc. of Fullerton, CA.
“As we continue to expand our LifeMOD™ family of software and related services we identified a need to greatly expand our software architecture and infrastructure,” said Shawn McGuan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BRG. “We initiated discussions with Tiger in 2006 and are subsequently overjoyed that the professionals from Tiger will be joining the BRG team. Our customer base will immediately experience the benefits of this acquisition with the introduction of new products, capabilities and services. “
Since its introduction, LifeMOD™ quickly became the de facto standard teaching and research tool in many universities throughout the world as well as an essential design tool integrated in CAD environments in many leading commercial institutions.
To continue to respond to the existing customer base as well as to push the state-of-the-art in the technology, BRG will continue to aggressively expand its team to include many new professionals. Current job openings include software developers, biomechanics scientists, marketing communications personnel and application engineers. Due to the strict qualifications for maintaining the excellent quality of the current team, the hiring process is expected to be lengthy continuing through 2007.
