Posture
Standard postures may be accessed from a posture library and further modified until the precise configuration is attained. Once a posture is configured as desired, it may be stored in the posture library for later retrieval. The posture may also be exported/imported to the SLF file. the appendix for more information. Sections:
Moving the Entire Body ModelTo translate and rotate the model, select the lower_torso segment move it using the standard A/view move panel (see Figure 1). Joints must be created on the model before it can be moved using this method, otherwise only the lower_torso will move. In addition the Body Move panel may be used. For examples of this function see Bicycle Rider and Car Crash tutorials. Modifying the Posture of the ModelPosture -> Configure BASE Model
A stored posture contains a set of predefined joint angles. Selecting a stored posture will automatically enter the specified joint angles into the proper fields. From that point, the user has the option to change the values of individual joints or to implement them on the model by selecting "APPLY." After the stored posture is implemented, it may still be refined by adjusting individual joint angles. The posture may then be stored for later retrieval by selecting "STORE NEW POSTURE." A posture exported in an SLF file may be retrieved by entering the filename in the panel. The current posture may be exported into a SLF file using the EXPORT function for the top-level menu (See File Formats). Modifying the Angles of the Individual JointsPosture -> Configure Single Joint
