Importing ADAMS Models into the LifeMOD™ Environment

The human models built using LifeMOD™ are ADAMS models and may be combined with other ADAMS models such as vehicles, moving environments, robots, sports equipment, testing machines, etc. This can be accomplished by importing the ADAMS mechanical models into the LifeMOD™ database.

1. Export the command file for the ADAMS mechanical model

2. Enter LifeMOD™ view session with human model, import command file to build a second model in the database.

3. In the "tools" menu select model merge and merge the ADAMS model into the human model.

4. Move the human model into position by selecting the lower_torso segment and either dragging or moving. If the baseline joint set and/or soft tissues have been placed on the model, this will move the entire model..

5. Adjust the starting posture of the human model using the Posture panel.
